Before Jesus heals anyone, calls a disciple, or performs a miracle, God speaks over him at his baptism: “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” In this message from Matthew 3:11–17, Jason explores one of the most foundational truths in all of Scripture, that with God, identity precedes achievement. You are not beloved because of what you have accomplished or avoided. You are beloved before any of that.
